PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE andirons attributed to Alfred-Emmanuel Beurdeley (1847-1919) marked "BY" with foundry numbering under an element of a base (visible when dismantled, see photo). Architecture of the Chenet: beautiful dimensions Height 36 cm Length 30 cm Depth 12 cm. in the manner of the Models of Philippe Caffieri (1714/1774), of very great elegance, the whole is composed in the central part of a large fire pot with flutes and foliage with a row of whiplash pearls in facade, and an exploded grenade in the lower part. Surrounded by two support elements decorated with rams' heads and rams' feet and acanthus leaf decoration, seated on a cavetto molded plaque, and surrounded by two large wall-mounted bronzes decorated with a half plant rosette. The whole rests on a sumptuous and rich Base with projections and rounded edges, friezes of incorporated entelac, rosette buttons, frieze of pearls at the edge, and ends with six very beautiful molded spinning top feet. Condition report: Very beautiful original gilding in two matt and shiny tones and guilloché pattern with a beautiful shine. Traces of use and age of an old object. Complete.
