Unmarked vermeil setting, touchstone tested.
The motif of blooming white roses and red flowers on a matte black stone background is set in a very ornate setting applied in strong relief of leaves, windings and beaded twists.
The good size bail is also applied with relief ornaments.
The interlocking glass compartment on the back (can be removed to put your own memento!) contains two locks of hair on a bright blue background. The gilding of the silver is very lively, without wear, with a soft shine of old gold.
Unmarked gilt silver, touchstone tested.
Excellent condition for this sentimental jewel from the 19th century.
