French sculpture from the late 19th century. Chiseled and patinated bronze work depicting a farmer posing with a plow and wheat. Nicely sized sculpture, ideal for inclusion in a collection, for antique dealers and collectors. Work finished for the center, the details of the character's dress and face are valuable and meticulous. Probably created with a marble base or as a central clock decoration (now missing), a very pleasant object. In beautiful patina and in good state of conservation.
