"Important Sculpture - Bronze - Rakan - Meiji Period - Japan - 19th Century"
Important bronze group representing a rakan mastering a dragon. Quadrangular base with rounded corners resting on four elephantiphorous legs on which stands majestically a monumental pine tree at the top of which an eagle with outstretched wings is perched. At the bottom, the dragon with three claws, terrifying, and with multiple coils of body covered with scales, topped with a rakkan. Meiji period Japan 19th century
