"19th Century Caquetoire Armchair In Walnut"
Superb and elegant armchair called caquetoire from the 19th century in walnut. It rests on 4 legs turned into a baluster and connected together at the bottom by molded crosspieces. The seat is trapezoidal in shape and the curved armrests rest on turned columns. The high back is decorated with a Saint, 2 fingers in the air which symbolizes the dual nature, both human and divine. The whole is topped with a pediment decorated with acanthus scrolls and rosette. High quality work with very beautiful sculptural fiber and in excellent state of conservation.
