"Low Table"
1960 ROSEWOOD COFFEE TABLE POUL CADOVIUS. The Danish designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius was born in 1911 in Copenhagen in the Frederiksberg district. With his Royal System modular shelving system (1948), he won the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950, and the silver medal at the XI Triennale di Milano in 1957. This piece will have a profound impact on mid-century design. century modern during the 1950s and 1960s. Between 1964 and 1967, Poul acquired the well-established manufacturing company France & Søn, known for the industrialization of teak furniture production.
