Small wedding mirror in carved and gilded wood from the Louis XVI period. Tower surrounded by pearls, very openwork Salembier* pediment with winding acanthus leaves and dove in the middle. We offer this mirror in its found condition, missing gilding, some missing wood, chips... Louis XVI period, late 18th century. The price is very fair and non-negotiable. Delivery by carrier between two wooden plates, 100 euros in France, 200 euros in the EU and 500 euros rest of the world. *The Salembier decor comes from the ornamentalist Henri SALEMBIER (Paris 1753-1820) who published various decoration books from 1777 which had immense success. He thus had a major influence in the creation of the Louis XVI style. His compositions decorated with arabesques, trophies, garlands, draperies, are exceptionally elegant and often inspired Parisian porcelain manufacturers.
