Important Oval Golden Leaf Mirror, Napoleon III Style - 19th Century

Important suspension mirror forming an oval and from the Napoleon III period. Its frame is gilded with leaf, it has multiple moldings and is embellished with a beaded frieze in its interior and an exterior gadrooning with the particularity of the use of several gilding techniques particularly on the slightly greener gadrooning . The mirror is topped by a prominent pediment. The central element represents windings of volutes and flowers; a delightful garland of intertwined foliage dividing on either side into two branches and ending at the end with various flowers. In the lower part, we find a central decoration made up of leaves and scrolls on each side. Its ice is bevelled around its edges. It should be noted two small accidents on the ice and a small loss in the pediment which will be restored for sale.
