"Imposing And Elegant Female Torso From The Second Half Of The 20th Century"
Imposing and elegant female torso in plaster from the second half of the 20th century mounted on a wooden base (oak) which serves as a base. This “Aphrodite” type torso is an interesting and respectful nod to the goddess Aphrodite represented standing, naked. The Aphrodite of Cnidus is, with the Zeus of Olympia, the most famous statue of Greek and Roman Antiquity. It was created by the Greek sculptor Praxiteles and was installed in Cnidus, following the decision of the inhabitants to acquire it. Unsigned, this work which is viewed head on is a tribute to the beauty of the woman made free.
