Oil on canvas entitled "the painter in front of his easel", by Raoul Pradier. Signed and dated lower left. Romanet gallery label on the back (see photos). Raoul Pradier, French painter, born in Bagnolet in 1929 and died in Plessis-Robinson in 2017. Raoul Pradier took courses in the preparatory workshop for arts deco in Paris. In 1949 he enrolled in the arts and crafts school directed by Camille Fleury. He graduated in 1952. Distinctions: - 1953 Antral Prize Scholarship - 1954 Young Painters' Salon Prize. - 1955 Critics' Prize (considered the Goncourt of painting). - 1957 Menton Biennale.
