Forged tank assembled with crenellated brass brazing. Sharp edge reinforced by a solid riveted headband. Fitted lid, with degree, with grip ring hinged on a riveted bar. The wrought iron ball handle on riveted ears with drooping curly stem. On the exterior bottom: unidentified maker's mark. Diameter: 22 cm. Height: 17 cm. The painter CHARDIN represented this type of pot in two still lifes dated 1733 and 1735 (photos 11 and 12). Nice density of metal. Some minimal cracks from work hardening on the surface.
