Elegant coffee or living room table, Italian design in Hollywood Regency style, dating from the 1970s.
"Skyline" model attributed to the Italian designer Romeo Rega.
Rare and quite exceptional model, particularly aesthetic.
Double belt in gilded brass profile of rectangular section going around the legs, these being made up of five spacer uprights (2 in chrome steel and 3 in gilded brass), assembled by Allen screws.
Smoked glass shelf in perfect condition.
Everything being original, in very good condition, note a few oxidized places (see red arrows on photos).

Biography:
Romeo Rega was born in 1904, Italian designer of the 1970s associated with a combination of modernism and glamor in their creations of furniture. Rega embodies this style, its brand is said to have been launched on December 31, 1969, producing lighting, chairs, tables and display cases identified by its double "R" logo, ceasing production in 1981. Although it is known little about his personal or professional life, Rega's legacy is not lost, with the arrival of his creations at vintage and collector's auctions. Rega furniture is characterized by geometric shapes and reduced shapes. He works mainly with chrome or gold metal, brass or brass plated, and plexiglass, which adds the allure and elegance for which Rega is renowned to its modernist pieces with clean lines. Rega would have worked with the designer to the stars Willy Rizzo (1928-2013) and Gabriella Crespi (1922-2017), these three designers espouse a very similar aesthetic. With many entertaining-focused pieces, such as coffee tables with display space and liquor cabinets, side tables, shelves and decorative table lamps.
