Pair of mahogany curule seats with carved decorations of laurels and acanthus leaves.
Work from the beginning of the 19th century stamped P. MARCION, Pierre Benoît Marcion (1769-1840), one of the main suppliers of Napoleon 1st.
He provided many pieces of furniture for the imperial palaces, such as the Empress Marie Louise's bed in the Petit Trianon in gilded walnut, richly carved with swans, garlands and foliage delivered in March 1810.
