Dimensions: 105 cm x 93 cm x 3.7 cm
The weight is also respectable: 130 kg
In a shield the coat of arms: a crescent surmounted by a star separated by a line.
Two imposing columns.
On each side of the shield, a cartouche served as chimeras and surmounted by a crown.
In the cartridge the compass and the square.
3 fleur-de-lys (previous attempts at erasing with a chisel which fortunately did not succeed)
Time and use have erased the lower part of the frame but the object is in very good condition: No cracks or damage repairs.
A rare piece (and survivor of time and revolutionary convulsions) of recognition of the companion corporations and the great builders.
These companion symbols and colors are found on the only other fireback, known to date, from this period (1730), set on the facade of a house in Buffignecourt in Haute/Saône.
