ICARUS, LARGE BRONZE SCULPTURE
In this work, the artist presents Icarus, a young naked man sinking into the waves. On a base representing the sea that would bear his name, we see Icarus at the exact moment when his inert, spinning body comes into contact with the waves. The vertiginous and violent fall suffered by Daedalus' son seems to have rendered him unconscious even before he sank into the sea.
Icarus' tragic fate is recounted by many ancient authors.
