"Art Deco Painting Marine Collioure Joseph Crozes Marquet School."
Oil on canvas painting from the 1930s art deco representing the port of Collioure by Joseph Crozes. An artist spanning the 19th and 20th centuries, he was famous for his views of Breton ports. This post-impressionist painter participated in the Salon des Artistes Français of 1933 and the Salon des Artistes Indépendants since 1938 as well as the Salon d'Automne of 1941. Here a rare work during his visit to Collioure, very typical of art deco and in the spirit of Albert Marquet . Very beautiful piece both for its decorative interest and for its exceptional character in the artist's production. Very nice size, dimensions in the period frame 68.5 by 60 cm.
