Our oil on wood is larger than the original made by Jacques Louis David in 1812. The Emperor is represented in his study at the Palais des Tuileries. Napoleon wears here the uniform of the foot grenadiers, recalling his outbursts as a man of action and in the field. He wears the Legion of Honor and the Order of the Iron Crown.
