Beautiful Biedermeier bookcase or display case with straight lines in cherry veneer from southern Germany around 1820.
• Matching blond cherry wood on softwood. The door end strip is also a mirror image and veneered on three sides in cherry wood with fine ebony inlays. • Blackened interior and exterior edges of doors, key escutcheons, baseboards and cornice moldings.
• Old windows with intermediate decorative trim.
• Interior covered in black fabric and 5 adjustable shelves.
• Original hinges.
• 2 bolts on the left, a safe lock on the right.
• Good condition.
• Restored and polished by hand with shellac.
