Elegant large Louis XVI style Solid Silver Teapot raised on four "hoof" feet with cartouche attachments aof a textured ground and foliage motifs. The panelled oval-shaped body has an applied border with ribbon accents, and domed lid is surmounted by a magnificent seed finial reposing on a leafy terrace. Rosewood handle. Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard (.950) Hallmark, mark of Master Goldsmith Amélie CARDELHAC, and her signature in full “CARDEILHAC Paris”. Revised and cleaned by our Parisian Goldsmith, this heavy, yet undeniably elegant, Louis XVI style teapot is in excellent condition with just light signs of use to note.
