This small panel depicts with particular tenderness the Mother and Child, and below them a probably religious building. The painting shows traces of the gold background, and probably as a result of the devotional 'caresses', some layers of colour are worn. The depiction overlaps that of Korsun's 'Mother of God', also defined as the Madonna of Tenderness, with the Virgin drawing the infant Jesus close to her cheek in a gesture of loving kindness reciprocated by her Son's embrace.

The reverse side presents a palchetting intervention.
