FANNY: POPULAR ART
For lovers of the game of pétanque, this is a photographic art montage printed on silk and framed under glass in a carved wooden frame.
This frame is equipped with a removable fabric curtain under which we discover FANNY (see photos).

Sold in its original condition, this set is in good general condition, note that the curtain is a little dirty and needs cleaning.
HISTORY AND TRADITION: The expression (kiss Fanny) is used during a game of bowls (Provençal game or pétanque) when the final score is 13 to 0. The loser or the losing team must then kiss the exposed posterior of 'a female representation nicknamed Fanny. It was originally both a reward and a shame for the losing team but always a good laugh for the spectators.
