JAPAN - Edo period (1603 - 1868) Complete samurai armor. Shibashi kabuto with four iron plates decorated with ideograms. Neck cover, shikoro, with four degrees in brown lacquered iron and blue silk. The crest, maedate, in gilded copper depicting an ideogram. Iron mempo on very marked nose and chin. The removable nose, the boar hair mustache, the pierced nostrils and the invisible teeth. Two sweat spots under the chin. The gorget, yodare-kake, with three degrees in brown lacquered metal and blue silk. Large shoulder pads, sode, in lacquered metal, leather and silk, at six degrees. One of them adorned with a dragon. Bipartite breastplate in riveted iron strips, leather and orange and blue silk. Arm protections, kote, chain mail and iron plates. Skirt, kusazuri, and shorts, haidate, in black lacquered metal and blue silk. Leggings, suneate, made of iron plates, chain mail and blue and orange silk.
