Frédéric Ede is an American painter born in 1865, died in 1907. He is a painter of figures, landscapes, animated landscapes.
After beginning his studies in America, he came to Paris and was a student of Tony Robert-Fleury and Bouguereau. He won first prize in Montreal in 1891 with the work "Paysage". He participated in the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 and received a medal of honor at the Boston Museum.
