"Small Portico Clock Under Globe 19th Century In Bronze Bird Swinging "romantic""
Charming "Romantic" clock, portico with two columns in bronze plume supporting the movement and placed on an oval bronze base decorated with a frieze, topped with the same plume on the movement case. The fine enameled dial features fine painted Roman numerals and sober brass hands. Swinging as the hours pass by, a mischievous little polychrome parrot hangs on a brass ring. Winding is done from the rear for the movement which has no strike and it is protected by a blown globe as on its first day on a blackened pear wood base. It is a delicate and very balanced piece and retains the elegance of a “large”
