EARLY ARTS-POPULAR ART-AFRICAN ARTS MASSAI PEOPLE/CULTURE KENYA EARLY 20TH CENTURY INKRI/CALLEBASS Dried and hollowed calabash, with engraved decoration of animals (2 elephants and 2 giraffes) and multiple geometric friezes, that the Massai of Kenya, in the Great Rift Valley, use as a flask to carry their daily ration of milk mixed with blood (they eat little meat), which we call Inkri in the Maasai language. Cowhide strap, braided natural plant fibers, colored beads and hemp threads. Very good condition (see descriptive photos).
