Among his disciples we find Georges-Guillaume-Amatus Lüer, Louis-Joseph Mathieu and Adolphe Collin in Paris, Josef Leiter in Vienna and Camillus Nyrop in Copenhagen. In 1851 Charrière was promoted to Officer of the Legion of Honor.
