"Eugène Decisy Beautiful Old Painting Portrait Of Young Woman Lorraine Lost Profile 19th"
All in good condition, see photos. Beautiful realistic painting from the 19th century, oil on canvas signed lower right Eugène Decisy 1891, representing the portrait in lost profile of a young woman in front of a fireplace in a kitchen interior. Recalling the old masters of Dutch and Flemish painting, our painting is a youthful work whose central subject is shown turned in three quarters revealing the nape of the neck and not the face of the young woman which retains all its mystery. Numerous representations of this attitude by Carolus-Durant, Alfred Stevens and even JJ Henner. The diffusion of light is mainly caused by the light which significantly defines the contours of the face. Beautiful composition for this renowned painter, engraver and illustrator of Lorraine origin. Small wear on the periphery, the paint simply deposited on the canvas without preparation, unvarnished, in good condition. Two paintings from the same collection for sale in our other ads. In a molded wooden frame. Total dimensions: 61 cm x 52 cm, table alone 55 cm x 46 cm.
