Tinplate cockade embossed with a radiant sun, tricolor lacquered, on which is fixed a double-strand square braid in silver trimmings held by a smooth gold half-spherical button. On the sides, tombac copper vents painted in the color of the bottom sheet. Chin strap with gold brass curb chain lined with black velvet; on the sides and back of the hairstyle, at the level of the braid and the bourdalous, three lion heads in gold metal help to hold the chin strap; round visor, black patent leather top surrounded by a gold-plated brass band folded astride the outer edge, width of the visor 5 cm; under visor in brown waxed leather. Inner headdress in iron-gilded brown sheepskin cut into six wolf teeth, inside headdress in sky blue silk. Spherical pompom in silver trimmings with small cord for junior officers. France.
