Fireback With The Arms Of Jean Claude Bousson Dated 1774

Fireback dated 1774 from the 18th century with the arms of Jean Claude Bousson (1724/34-1802), squire, commissioner of the nobility, mayor of Pontarlier (1765-69), son of Jacques (1677-1765) provided with a position of master advisor to the Chamber of Accounts of Dôle and ennobled in 1732 or of Jean Baptiste Adrien Bousson (1721-1793), advisor to the bailiwick of Poligny, Viscount Mayeur de Poligny (1753-54), lieutenant of the mayor, son of Jean Anatoile Denis (1681-1745), lawyer in parliament, advisor to the Magistrate of the town of Poligny and private master in charge of the town's waters and forests; both squires and originally from Jura. Family from Pontarlier in Franche-Comté from the middle of the 15th century including Guillaume Bousson, one of the four aldermen of the town in 1479. One of the two branches known in the 18th century, taken the name of Bousson de Mairet by Gaspard Bousson, ennobled in 1740 provided with the office of substitute in the parliament of Besançon.
