Beautiful mahogany leaves veneered on the front and sides highlighted in each compartment with a frieze of pearls.
The flap opens without a compass onto 2 series of 3 drawers (one of which serves as a pencil box).
Each oak drawer is veneered with Mahogany and fitted with a brass ring.
The black leather of the flap, which is most likely the original one, has some gaps testifying to its age and use.
Closure is ensured by a 3-point lock equipped with its cloverleaf key.
The top of the secretary has a drawer highlighted with the same pearl decorations; It is equipped with a cloverleaf lock.
The secretary is topped with white Carrara marble, surrounded by a gilded bronze gallery on 3 of its sides.
At the bottom of the cabinet, 2 doors (closing with a cloverleaf lock) open onto an oak shelf which provides 2 compartments below.
The sides are structured into 3 compartments highlighted with friezes of golden pearls.
On the facade, 2 mahogany columns with rough grooves are topped with a scraper and end in spindle feet fitted with a ring and a shoe.
Same spindle base at the back of the furniture. We note 2 small slots in Mahogany on the upper compartment on the left and right sides (see photo) as well as a vertical slot at the bottom of the secretary.
