Monumental kerosene lamp in çaldon porcelain from the 19th century, mounted in chiseled and gilded bronze with a quadripod circular base with openwork and chiseled decoration, decorated with flowers and acanthus leaves. The top of the frame is decorated with openwork scrolls and foliage, with its old ignition button. The body of the cetadon porcelain lamp is decorated with a monogram under a Marquis crown. Body decorated on each side with two handles composed of twisted scrolls ending in faun heads. Sandblasted glass tulip globe composed of a second central element in etched and slightly amber glass. Beautiful original gilding and very good quality of carving. Fully removable lamp. Work carried out around 1880. This rare model of lamp is a testimony to the ostentatious luxury that could be found within the homes of the aristocracy under the Second Empire where prosperity and the desire for splendor revealed a state of mind close to the dream.
