Salvatore Candido (Napoli, December 17, 1798 – Naples, November 25, 1869) was an Italian painter specializing in the city of Naples. During the 19th century, Neapolitan painting took on a greater individual awareness thanks to the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli which trains a large number of artists, some of whom constitute the School of Pausilippus, at the forefront of landscape painting.
