"19th Painted Box Tortoiseshell Interior"
19th century round box lacquered in a bluish tone. The lid is centered with an oil painted scene depicting 2 children facing each other seated in a landscape and surrounded by gold and silver Greek motifs. The reverse also has a small finely painted central decoration of a carafe and a glass accompanied by a white cloth; it is also surrounded by Greek motifs. The interior is tortoiseshell. D: 6.7cm H: 3.1cm Good condition.
