Earthenware ewer with pewter lid Decorated with bunch of grapes and vine leaves on a white background with green edging. Signature at the base. Height 24 cm. Dated 1889. In good general condition, I point out a crack, visible in the photos (the crack is more visible inside and it is preferable for this shaped piece). - Fine earthenware was developed in Staffordshire and Yorkshire (England) in the mid-18th century from white salt-glazed stoneware.
