Van Mens is a painter , designer and watercolorist. Predilection for landscapes, figures, views of villages and North African characters. Traveled often to North Africa between 1923 and 1950 and easily found inspiration in small villages and their inhabitants. Also passionate about light. Also travels to Spain, China and the Netherlands Antilles. Lived and worked for a while in Schaerbeek (Brussels-Belgium).
