Gilt Bronze Sculpture “veronique” Jaques Marin
Lovely bust of a young woman named Véronique. Her headdress in a bun and dotted with daisies, her shoulders are covered with two pretty bows. The sculptor Jacques Marin (see photo) 1877-1950 likes to represent women in all their beauty and femininity.
He was director of the Brussels School of Fine Arts.
Symbolist sculptor in his main theme is woman. Gilded bronze in very good condition.
