Pair Of Napoleon III Bronze & Porcelain Sconces
Pair of Napoleon III period sconces in gilded bronze with rich decoration of ribbon knots and trimmings supporting a quiver and a crisscrossed torch forming the pediment of an oval medallion depicting Nymphs in bisque porcelain with a tenant Maenad in part a thyrsus and on the other Pomona carrying flowers in her raised tunic. The lower part ends with acanthus leaves. The two vegetal arms of light presage a cup and a bin decorated with friezes of beaded water leaves. Good general and electrical condition. Dimensions: 44 cm high x 30 cm wide x 12 cm deep.
