The perfectly mastered technique of transparency and the poetic universe of Jean-Baptiste Valadié. This beautiful and large oil on canvas entitled "Rève Bleu" is crossed by a poetic and spiritual wind, it is offered in an elegant gold frame with black edges which measures 92 cm by 110 cm and 73 cm by 92 cm for the canvas alone. In excellent condition, it represents two young girls and a dove in a dreamlike setting. A sensual, delicate and elegant work, signed and dated (19)76 lower left, countersigned and titled by the artist on the back.

Born in Brive-la-Gaillarde in 1933, Jean-Baptiste Valadié is a painter, sculptor, engraver, designer, lithographer and illustrator. He began at Cours Charpentier in Montparnasse, and studied applied arts for four years, graduating in 1955. Equipped with his pencil, the designer never stopped going to Place du Tertre at the same time to sketch out sketches. “It is first of all from fantasy, dreams, irrationality and sensuality that the work of art is born,” attests the artist. His works offer the sweetness of a dream or a “Venetian dream”, as expressed in the title of one of his lithographs. Grace hangs beneath his pencil stroke and lifts the plastic harmony. Its “Laziness” reaches its fullness, and its “Harmony” opens towards the infinite horizons of reverie. An insatiable wanderer, he presented his first exhibition in Dakar (Senegal), and continued with an exhibition in Algiers during his military service in 1960. Exhibitions flourished in France (Paris, Cannes, Lyon) and internationally: South Africa , England, Australia, United States, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium… Graduated from the School of Applied Arts, Paris, 1955 1956 - 1st exhibition Dakar Cultural Center Distinctions: Silver medal Arts, Sciences and Letters Medal of the city of Brussels Knight of Merit Hispano Belgian Prize John Hemming Frye Prize O. du Bosc. Publications: Numerous bibliophile books since 1975 What characterizes VALADIE's art is a very particular sense of arabesque: his drawing has a rare quality of balance. The line combines precision and finesse with the cutting sharpness of surgical instruments. Undeniably, the artist pushes his compositions to the maximum, he tries to refine ever more to find the clearest and most sensual line. His work presents itself as a constant quest for beauty, research and perfection. The charm and strength of the first draft... His passion for travel has taken him to the four corners of the world since 1970... He regularly exhibits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe.
