Large and fine Isfahan rug of Iranian origin, made of silk velvet on foundations: warps, weft and fringes in natural silk. Characterized by an ivory field decorated with scrolls of palmettes of stylized polychrome flowers surrounded by finely drawn foliage, framing a central floral medallion in the shape of a multicolored crenellated diamond. Triple borders, the main one being midnight blue with polychrome seedlings of bulbs and flower buds in the shape of stylized exploded diamonds Age: circa 1965/1970 Dimensions: 245 x 156 cm Density: approximately 7,500 knots per dm2
