"Very Large Vase Emile Gallé Vosges Landscape 20,5" - Circa 1900 Art Nouveau"
Important and very large ovoid Art Nouveau vase in thick multilayer glass in a flat baluster shape resting on a heel from the Vosges blue line series. This series was published to mark the exile of the Alsatians to Lorraine during the war of 1870. It features a finely carved acid decor in reserve of lake landscapes: lake, fir trees, trees and their reflections bordered by Vosges mountains , with blue tones, green on a nuanced opalescent yellow background, brown towards the base. Signature in cameo in the Gallé decor.
