"Box - Writing Kit, Early 19th Century"

Rectangular in shape. Veneer on 5 sides of the chest in elm burl. Mother-of-pearl cartridge engraved “Amélie” above the domed lid. Inside is the complete sewing kit. On the reverse of the lid is an original mirror in good condition. Inside this kit includes 10 ivory elements, gold and steel enhanced with a small enameled pansy. There are 2 inkwells, 1 flat ruler, 1 punch, 1 stamp, 1 nib sharpener, 1 scraper, 1 mechanical pencil, a pen holder and 1 letter opener. Functional original key and lock. Charles X period.
