Hinged oval gold snuffbox. Lid and underside chiseled in three-tone gold (white, yellow, green) with fluted ribbons, rosettes and interlacing. In the center of the lid, in an oval frame bordered by laurel falls, a medallion represents an incandescent urn overlooking the symbols of science and architecture. At the base, the same oval medallion on a flowerbed evoking music and gardening, a vase overflowing with flowers on a sandy background. On the sides, alternating with grooves, four oval medallions on a sandblasted background represent quivers, flaming torches and bouquets of flowers.
