"African Ethnic Iron Mask"
African mask in iron and shells. These are fixed using strips of leather which surround the circular mask. A double row decorates a long strip of leather which is fixed at the level of the mouth and which extends towards the rear passing between the slits for the eyes. Two kinds of horns surrounded by leather on the forehead hold the band. This mask has been in our possession since the 1990s. The African Art Gallery which sold it to me gave me further information about it, but I lost it.
