A renowned engraver, he also exhibited oils since 1927 each year at the Salon des Tuileries. A prolific Lorraine artist, he is present in numerous public collections. Traveling in the 1920s in the south of Europe, he brought back precious testimonies of ordinary life, including this colorful and lively view of returning from fishing on the Tagus in Portugal.
