Canadian indigenous art, very pretty anthropomorphic wooden sculpture made by John Joseph (born in 1957) inspired by the Indian faces of Southwestern Canada and in particular the Salish people. Strong work of great finesse testifying to the virtuosity of its creator. John Joseph, originally from North Vancouver (Canada), is a sculptor renowned for his wooden works. From the age of fourteen he was trained by his uncle Larry Joseph and then practiced his trade with his cousins Delmar and Darcy Joseph. For several years, he has devoted himself to creating large pieces. Well known to Canadian and American art lovers, John Joseph is permanently exhibited at the Nanaimo Art Exhibition Hall (Canada).
