"Marquetry Panel Star Clock Factory Carillon Factory Straub Saverne Alsace"
Rare marquetry panel, unique piece created by Lucien Straub on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Vedette watchmaking company, created in 1920. This panel is a tribute to its founding president Paul Dentel, and was offered by his collaborators in 1950. An engraved brass plaque placed at the bottom of the painting on the frame relates these facts. The marquetry represents the factory in its smallest details, it is a unique and very interesting testimony to this clock and chime factory. The center of the panel has a clock. Please note that the current movement is battery-electric, so it has been changed. Very good condition.
