"Pair Of Mahogany Selettes"

Rare pair of Empire style cross-banded stands in mahogany with a marble top , a model by Jacob Desmalter et Cie after a design by Charles Percier. Each with a circular top molded in marble, above a conformally shaped frieze mounted with six-pointed stars in gilded wood, on three angular legs connected by diagonal crosspieces in the shape of an X, decorated with rocases in gilded wood.
A French work around 1870.
