Baccarat crystal, beautiful vase decorated with antique style scenes alternated with escutcheons. Technically: The decoration of our vase is made up of cementation with silver, coloring the surface layer of the crystal after baking, in blue. The cut-out patterns, halftone and satin effects represent the most elaborate application of the acid etching technique. For the 1867 Exhibition, Baccarat was inspired by the cult of Bacchus to engrave decorative figures on a series of vases, neo-classical figures inspired by ancient bas-reliefs in the style of the Borghese vase kept at the Louvre Museum.
