Art Deco Office Paper Opener Lucien Bazor

Important cut-out letter with gilded bronze patina from the Artist Lucien BAZOR French school and Created in 1928 "Venus and Love".
Low relief sculpture representing on one side a naked woman playing with her child on her shoulders in a very tender attitude with their faces turned towards each other. This Child represented with wings on his back symbolizes the Love which unites him to his Mother.
The decoration surrounding this scene as well as the decoration on the reverse is made up of drapery motifs typical of the 1925/30s in an artistic style called ART DECO.
The Signature (is affixed at the bottom under the border) Lucien BAZOR born in 1899 / 1974 he was a Sculptor and Medalist, he received the Grand Prix de Rome in 1923, and in 1930 reached the position of general engraver of coins which he occupied. until 1958.
Hallmarked under the foot of a Cornucopia and Bronze 1972.  Poids: 283 gr
