Art Nouveau period table. The curved base is enhanced with two openwork plant motifs at each corner of the shelves. (h24.5cm) During the Universal Exhibition of 1900 we found this red lacquer on the stylized decorations, but also on the facades of houses built for the event The marquetry presents two village scenes, one surrounded by a lake and the other surrounded by wooded mountains. The careful details of the perspectives offer: cypresses, birds, foliage, trees, hills, water.... The woods used: burl walnut, birch, mahogany ash, walnut oak amaranth ash... Rare piece.
